What a proper install includes
A DStv installation is more than bolting up a dish
Most of the ‘no signal’ callouts we attend are really failed installations — an undersized or badly aimed dish, an LNB that isn’t weather-sealed, or cheap cable run where the wind can work it loose. A DStv installation done properly is quiet, invisible and forgettable: it just works, through wind, rain and load-shedding.
When we install, we mount the dish on a solid bracket in the right position for a clear line of sight to the satellite, fit and seal the correct LNB, run quality shielded cable along a neat route, and terminate every connection so water can never get in. Then we set up and activate your decoder, tune it in, and hand it over working with you watching.
It’s the same careful process whether it’s a single dish on a townhouse in Midrand or a communal system for a complex — and it’s why our installs still hold their signal years later.

A standard installation — dish, LNB, bracket, cabling and decoder setup — starts from an affordable fixed call-out and installation fee. The exact price depends on the dish size, how far the cable has to run, and whether you’re adding Extra View or extra points. We quote you upfront, and the quoted number is the number you pay.
Can you install the same day?
Yes — same-day DStv installation is our standard across Gauteng, and we manage it the large majority of the time. If we genuinely can’t reach you today, we’ll book the earliest slot, usually the next morning.
Do you supply the dish and decoder, or must I buy them?
Either. We can supply and install everything, or install and activate a decoder and dish you already have. We’ll tell you honestly beforehand whether what you’ve got suits the job.
What’s the difference between Explora, Ultra and an HD decoder?
The HD decoder is the entry option; the Explora adds recording and catch-up; the DStv Ultra is the latest, with streaming apps built in. Tell us how you watch and we’ll recommend the right one rather than the dearest.
Can you set up Extra View for multiple rooms?
Yes. Extra View links extra decoders to your main account so each room watches its own channel on one subscription. We supply the decoder, run the point and activate it with you.
Do you install for complexes and businesses?
We do — communal and multi-dish systems for complexes, estates, guesthouses, lodges, offices and sports bars, including ongoing maintenance. Ask us for a site assessment.
Is the installation guaranteed?
Yes. Every installation carries our workmanship guarantee in writing. If it fails because of how we installed it, we come back and fix it at our cost.
