Two Kinds of Randburg Wall
Randburg is split almost evenly between two very different construction eras, and the installation depends entirely on which one you live in. The older suburbs — Ferndale, Northcliff, Blairgowrie, Windsor — are solid double-skin brick, often with hard plaster over it. The newer townhouse complexes that fill the gaps between them are lightweight partition. The bracket, the fixings and the cable strategy are different for each.
The first thing our installer does is establish which you have, because getting it wrong matters. Solid brick needs masonry anchors and hammer drilling and gives you a rock-solid mount, but hiding cable means chasing or trunking. Partition walls need fixing into studs or added backing, but let us conceal every cable inside the wall. Northcliff adds a third wrinkle: parts of the ridge are near-solid rock, and that occasionally affects what can be fixed outside for a dish or aerial.

What matters for mounting in Randburg
Wall Construction Identified First
Solid brick, cavity, concrete or partition — we establish it before drilling and use anchors rated for that construction and your screen’s weight. This one step is the difference between a mount that lasts and one that fails.
Complex and Body Corporate Rules
A great many Randburg homes are in complexes with rules about drilling, working hours and external fixings. We work within them. It is considerably cheaper than being asked to undo the work afterwards.
Cabling Suited to Your Wall
Hollow walls get cables run inside the cavity. Solid walls get either a chased channel made good, or slim trunking matched to the wall. We price both and let you choose rather than deciding for you.

Questions from Randburg
What Randburg customers ask us most.
Still not sure?
Send a photo of your dish, decoder or TV on WhatsApp. We can often tell you what’s wrong before we get in the van.
WhatsApp a photoI live in a townhouse complex. Are there rules about mounting?
Usually yes, and they vary. Most complexes restrict drilling hours and anything fixed to an external wall. Internal wall mounting is generally fine. Tell us the complex when you book and we will work to the rules rather than creating a problem with your body corporate.
My Northcliff wall is extremely hard to drill. Is that a problem?
Not for us. Older Randburg brick and the concrete lintels common in these homes need proper hammer drilling and quality masonry bits, which our installers carry. What you should not do is attempt it with a domestic drill — that is how brackets end up in half-drilled holes.
Can you move a TV that is already mounted?
Yes, and it is a common job. We take the set down, make good the old fixing holes, mount it in the new position with correct fixings and re-route the cables. If you are moving house we can uninstall at one address and install at the other.
Will you set up the soundbar and streaming as well?
Yes. We connect the soundbar, decoder, console and streaming devices, get HDMI ARC working so one remote controls the volume, connect the TV to your WiFi and check every input before we leave.
